Norwich City Football Club is a professional soccer club that competes in the English Premier League (EPL), the top league in English soccer. The club was founded in 1902 and has a longstanding rivalry with Ipswhich Town and has competed against them in the East Anglian derby 134 since each team’s founding. Norwich City also has the oldest soccer chant in the world in “On the Ball, City” which was written in 1890 and is still sung at all home matches. Norwich City was one of the 22 founding members of the EPL in 1992 but last just 3 seasons in the league before demotion. They made brief appearances back in the league in 2004-2005, 2011-2014, and 2015-2016, but their highest finish was 11th in 2012-2013. Since 1992, Norwich City has won the Championship (formerly Division 1) three times. They have yet to finish higher than the fifth round of an English tournament in that time frame, and they have not made a European tournament. Norwich City plays their home matches at Carrow Road in Norfolk, England. Carrow Road was opened in 1935 and has been expanded six times since. It now holds 27,244.
