The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team in the National Football League (NFL). The Jaguars joined the NFL as an expansion franchise in 1995 – the same season as the Carolina Panthers. Under former head coach Tom Couglin, the team made the playoffs each year from 1996 to 1999 including division titles in 1998 and 1999. After Coughlin’s departure from the team in 2002, the Jaguars had just two playoff appearances in 15 seasons before again winning their division in 2017.

The Jaguars play their home games at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. Owned by Shahid Khan, the Jaguars are one of the youngest franchises in the NFL and have not had any Hall of Fame players. However, quarterback Mark Brunell and running back Fred Taylor were instrumental in the early successes of the franchise.
