Today’s Picks:
Timberwolves (+11.5) @ Pelicans
#9 Maryland (ML) @ Rutgers
Senators @ Penguins over 6.5 goals
I cleaned up last night getting all three of my picks right. If only I had put down some real money instead of just telling you all what to bet on! Feel free to wet the beak and send some of your winnings my way if this keeps up.
Let’s keep the momentum rolling tonight and head to New Orleans for our first pick. Zion Williamson is lighting up the league as one of the most electric rookies we’ve ever seen. But, these Pelicans are still a team that’s eight games under .500 and are coming off an electric showdown loss with the Lakers on Sunday. I’m not ready to give them the 11.5 points they’re laying at home tonight. Give me the Minnesota Timberwolves, a scrappy team led by D’Angelo Russell, +11.5 tonight.
My second pick is going to be my stone cold lock and easiest pick of the night. The Maryland Terrapins, the #9 team in the country, are heading into Piscataway, New Jersey tonight to take on a Rutgers team that went 2-6 in February…and they’re underdogs!! Maryland is somehow a 1 point dog against a spiraling team. Maryland has lost 2 of their last three, but both were to ranked opponents, and they are the teams only losses since January 14. This feels like free money tonight. Hammer that Maryland moneyline.
I’ve been riding hockey unders all season and, quite frankly, making a killing doing it. But I’m ready to introduce a little chaos into my world and bet an over tonight. The Senators @ Penguins have the highest over/under on the night at 6.5, and I don’t think that’s even high enough. The Penguins are spiraling after losing five straight, and a big part of that has been their goaltending. They’ve let up 20 goals combined in their last five games! The Senators have scored nine combined in their last two games. This all adds up to a high scoring night, especially as I expect the Penguins to snap out of their slump and start scoring some goals themselves. I’ll take the over here at 6.5.
