I’m addicted to going 1-2 every night. I simply can’t stop. I’m even considering changing my name from Mr. Daily to Mr. 1-2. But I can’t do that because I owe you, the fans, more than 1-2. Tonight’s the night we break the streak and start the comeback. I’m guaranteeing a 3-0 performance tonight.
Pick #1: New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles OVER 10.5 runs (-115)
The Yankees own the Orioles, especially at Camden Yards. Every time these two teams play, there are a lot of runs scored. Even last night with Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Yankees, the teams hit the over because the Yankees put up 9. Tonight has J.A. Happ vs. John Means which MEANS it will be a good night for any fans of high scoring. Hammer that over with confidence.
Pick #2: Los Angeles Clippers ML (+150) @ Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers were the top seed in the Western Conference before the COVID shutdown happened. Now they’re a team in turmoil with key players sitting out the restart, Anthony Davis nursing an eye injury, and a new collection of players that have had roller coaster type careers. The Clippers have a pretty depleted roster heading into this one too, but I’m trusting Kawhi tonight to pull it out on the restart.
Pick #3: Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks OVER 227.5 points (-105)
I know that’s a high over, but both of these teams have high scoring offenses. A lot of people seem to think that the offense is going to be off at the restart, but if the exhibition games are any indication, it’s going to be the defense that struggles early as the players try to regain their condition. James Harden had 30 points in the first half the other night! I’m expecting a lot of scoring in this one.
