Okay, 1-2 is definitely not the night I needed last night as I’m looking to get to 15-6 on the week. I need to pick things up here if we’re going to make it over .500 by Sunday. Luckily I am LOVING the board tonight, so let’s get into it.
Pick #1: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Blue Jackets OVER 5.5 (+120)
These two teams just played in a marathon 5OT game that ended less than 48 hours before game 2 kicks off. These players are going to be tired, and I think that 5 overtimes means mentally exhausted goalies as well. I’m calling a 4-3 Lightning win here.
Pick #2: Tampa Bay Rays ML (-162) @ Boston Red Sox
Tyler Glasnow is on the mound for the Rays which should bode well for a team that’s starting to pick things up offensively. The Red Sox are in shambles, and they’re a team I’d feel confident betting against on most nights.
Pick #3: Portland Trail Blazers -9 (-110) vs. Brooklyn Nets
Nine points is a lot to give up, but the Blazers need this game, and there’s not a better player on the planet right now than Damien Lillard. If he keeps doing his thing, the Nets don’t have a chance in this game.
