Last Night’s Record: 2-1
Post COVID Record: 15-22
I promised you a 15-6 week, and last night’s 2-1 puts us right on track. The NHL playoffs are starting today, so I’m obviously loving those bets. I might dip my toes back into baseball today too though. It’s hard to correctly pick three baseball games in one day but just one? Not a problem for Mr. Daily.
Pick #1: Calgary Flames ML (+100) vs. Dallas Stars
There’s two reasons for this pick. One, I think that the teams that had to play in a qualifying series are going to be much better off to start than the teams that played in the round robin. Two, the Stars could not have looked worse in the round robin. I don’t know if that’s a death sentence for this series, but I think it definitely is for this game.
Pick #2: Portland Trail Blazers vs. Dallas Mavericks UNDER 238 (-110)
I know these two teams can score, but 238 is always going to be way too high of an over for me to take, especially when the Blazers are fighting for their playoff lives. Both teams will obviously hit 100, but the 238 combined total isn’t happening.
Pick #3: Washington Nationals -1.5 (+115) vs. New York Mets
It’s Scherzer vs. Porcello tonight. That should tell you all you need to know.
A parlay on these three bets will net +721 odds.
