Online Roll the Dice

Online Roll the Dice

Background

Roll the dice is based off a traditional Chinese dice game. The game involves three dice that are all imprinted with either characters or symbols on each side. The six characters and symbols in roll the dice are a coin, fish, prawn, crab, rooster, and calabash (gourd). A player can bet on one of these symbols or on triple which is discussed in the How to Play section. The game is also known as Fish-Prawn-Crab and Hoo Hey How.

How To Play

The online version of roll the dice begins with the dice hidden under a virtual bowl and not visible to the player. The player will then select if they want to place a bet on coin, fish, prawn, crab, rooster, calabash, or triple. The player can place a bet between $1 and $500 on each roll. Once the bets are placed, the player just needs to click the virtual bowl and the dice will be rolled. If the player placed a wager on one of the characters or symbols, they will be paid out in a 1 to 1, 2 to 1, or 3 to 1 manor depending on the results of the roll. For example, if the player placed a wager on crab, they would be paid based on the amount of crabs that came up in the roll. A $10 wager would win an additional $20 if two crabs were rolled. Alternatively, the player can place a bet on triple. In order to win, the player would need all three dice to be crab. In this scenario, the bet pays out 30 to 1. So, a $10 wager on triple would win an additional $300.
