I’ll be going through the best streaming movies for each genre over the next few days, so cozy up, grab some popcorn, and laugh along with all of these on-screen couples!
Zack and Miri Make a Porno (Netflix)
Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks play lifelong platonic friends that make a porno to get some cash but then fall in love in the process. Runtime: 101 minutes.
Valentine’s Day (Netflix)
This movie has basically every actor that was famous in 2010 in it which makes it a blast. Runtime: 125 minutes.
Long Shot (HBO)
The second Seth Rogen movie to make the list has him starring across from Charlize Theron this time. Runtime: 125 minutes.
Crazy, Stupid, Love (HBO)
This movie made my Top 10 Comedies list too. It’s just that good! Runtime: 118 minutes.
Yesterday (HBO)
If you’re not a fan of The Beatles, skip this movie. If you are, enjoy all of their glorious music in this one. Runtime: 116 minutes.
The Big Sick (Amazon Prime)
This one is a little bit more intense than your average rom-com, but watching the mostly real-life love story of Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani (who both co-wrote the film) play out on screen is great. And it has Ray Romano! Runtime: 120 minutes.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Amazon Prime)
Once you get past the racist parts with Mickey Rooney, this really is a delightful Audrey Hepburn movie. Runtime: 115 minutes.
Charade (Amazon Prime)
I had to go back-to-back on the Audrey Hepburn movies for this list. The chemistry between Cary Grant and her is what makes this movie so great. Runtime: 113 minutes.
The Escort (Hulu)
Not to be confused with the 1997 film of the same title that is basically just porn, this movie stars Michael Donegar as a journalist and Lyndsy Fonseca as a Stanford-educated prostitute. And, you guessed it, they fall in love. Runtime: 88 minutes.
Gnomeo and Juliet (Hulu)
Okay, I had to throw one on here for the kids too. I absolutely love this movie. It cracks me up every time I watch it (which would be twice). Runtime: 84 minutes.
