Okay, so hand up on this one – I actually haven’t seen this movie yet. But everyone is talking about it, and I thought it would be a fun one to discover together. This is a true story of Bryan Stevenson’s (Michael B. Jordan) efforts to free a wrongly convicted Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx) from death row. It seems like a movie that is extremely relevant to the current civil rights climate, and it seems to take a great look at the injustices in the criminal justice system. I’m excited to watch this movie, and I hope you are too! Just Mercy has a runtime of 137 minutes and can be streamed for free on Amazon Prime through the end of June.
